Musical Theatre
STAGESCHOOL’s Musical Theatre qualifications are the UK’s first to assess group performances while evaluating each performer individually. With flexible content chosen by teachers, students of all ages can perform together, developing core skills in performance, technique, and reflection.
Exams take place in your chosen venue, with UCAS points available at Grades 6–8. Fully regulated and internationally recognised, our qualifications support progression from beginner to professional levels.
Street & commercial dance
The Street & Commercial Dance qualifications blend industry expertise with academic rigour, offering a globally recognised qualification. Developed with Solange Urdang OBE and leading professionals, the syllabus celebrates individuality, creativity, and technical mastery. With a strong performance focus, dancers refine their skills as soloists or ensemble performers.
Fully accredited and offering UCAS points at Grades 6–8, these exams provide a pathway to higher education and professional success.
jazz dance
Our Jazz Dance qualifications offer teachers the freedom to shape a curriculum that aligns with their own style and programme. Developed by industry specialists, the syllabus balances technical precision with creative expression, allowing students to grow as soloists or company dancers.
With UCAS points available at Grades 6–8, internationally recognised qualifications, and no membership fees, STAGESCHOOL Jazz Dance provides a flexible and performance-focused pathway for aspiring dancers.
Acting
STAGESCHOOL Acting qualifications nurture performers of all ages, assessing communication, interpretation, and technical skill through practical performance. With complete creative freedom, candidates can present monologues, duologues, or group scenes from plays, novels, or their own original writing. Flexible assessment formats and diverse repertoire support a personalised learning experience.
Fully accredited, these qualifications also carry UCAS points at higher grades, enhancing opportunities for further study and professional growth.
Screen Acting
The Screen Acting qualifications equip performers with the skills to excel in front of the camera, developing confidence and technique grade by grade. Candidates gain practical experience with key camera angles used in TV and film, bringing characters to life while working towards an internationally recognised qualification.
With on-demand video submission options and a diverse repertoire, these exams cater to all levels, from beginners to aspiring professionals. At higher grades, they also contribute to UCAS tariff points, supporting progression into further education and industry pathways.
Public speaking
Our Public Speaking qualifications empower learners of all ages to communicate with confidence, clarity, and impact. Covering everything from speeches and storytelling to original material, these qualifications support personal and professional growth.

Exam Formats
STAGESCHOOL examinations are open all year round and can be scheduled to fit with any existing programme. There are three exam formats to suit your needs: face-to-face, recorded digital and live stream digital.
FACE-TO-FACE EXAMS
The original exam experience. Host your exam day with students being observed in person by a member of our expertly trained examiner panel. Please note the minimum requirements to host an exam day.
RECORDED DIGITAL EXAMS
Recorded Digital Exams give you the ability to pre-record your exam submissions via video and upload them to our online portal to be assessed by our expert examining panel.
LIVE-STREAMED DIGITAL EXAMS
STAGESCHOOL is offering Live Stream Video Exams (LSE) for all our graded exams. Live stream digital exam entries will only be accepted from schools/exam venues (currently not available for individual entries).
